Almost broke the 70 mark!!!!!

I hope you had a chance to drop in at the Main Library this Saturday and see our Gaming Zone. It was awesome! We had almost 70 participants. The venue changed and the event took place in our Auditorium, but it was still very cool.
I am going to put new some pictures up on flickr.com and will post one on this blog post as well. There is some really cool stuff coming down the pike. James Arnett at NETplaycafe.com is planning an awesome evening event at his store and I’ll tell you more about this as plans finalize.

I want to give a big shout out to James and his crew at NETplaycafe for helping us so much with all our events and the Friends of the Library of helping to make these events possible.

The library will be purchasing two more XBoxes and a few more games (Soulcaliber) so stay tuned for more exiting Gaming Zone events in the future.

Make sure to join us next time on Saturday June 17, 2006 at the Main Library from 1:30-4:30.

Also, we are trying to start a D&D group, so if you are interested, e-mail me at

Over the competition, I'm towerin

The Saturday afternoon Gaming Zone is a big hit! We had 60+ gamers stopping by to play, Xbox, Board games, and Dungeons and Dragons. We had an impromptu Fight Night Tournament, and Mechs and clone troopers rocked the room with blast after blast of destructive fun. The board games and the D & D are new for the Saturday events, so if you want to try either of those out there is not much of a wait. Our D & D guru will help you get setup and keep on your toes. We have Scrabble, Checkers, and Chess for the board games. And of course this is an all ages event.
