College Football Anyone?

With the NFL Draft this weekend, and spring football scrimages happening all over the nation; we are never far from getting our football fix in. With this in mind, I'm wondering what kind of interest could be generated by a College Team Tournament. As with Madden; EA Sports' NCAA College Football has a teams that you can unlock. You can have the 93' National Champion Florida State squad face the 03' National Champion Southern Cal team(Matt Leinart is Carson Palmer's backup). Or you can see how the All-Time Penn State team matches up with the All-Time Texas Team (I'm not sure if Vince Young has made that team, yet). These would be awesome games to play and watch; and a tournament format would easy to set up. Let's see if we can make this happen for the next Gaming Zone.

Justice League Heroes

There are a lot of comic book fans out there so I thought I'd point out an upcoming game I read about in the new April 2006 Game Informer - Justice League Heroes. Judging from various forums and the ratings of the cartoon series Justice League, there are a lot of fans of it in particular.

So, check out the trailer and screenshots here.

Next month I'll be bringing you informatin on table top comic book gaming as I start talking about the library's Four Colors comic book day in June.

101 Free Computer Games Article

I like to read Computer Gaming World and sometimes there are articles of interest that catch my eye. Being someone who always looks for those free things on the web here is a link to a list of 101 free and legal games put together by the magazine. It contains classics and some new homegrown titles. But many of them look really cool. One of the coolest looking games is "Sea of Chaos" where you set sails on the "high seas...and blow the living (daylights) out of anything that moves. Outfit your boat and go through the brief single player campaing of fight off the pirates on the internet.

Here is the link:

You can find this link and the article in March 2006 issue of Computer Gaming World.

Have fun checking them out.
